When hubby cooks I get to lay back, rest assured, that we’ll be eating well. On the weekends he pretty much takes over cooking duty. And he takes his duty seriously – lucky us 🙂 He puts his soul into his meals.
It’s a break for me but also a release for him. He loves to cook and introduce the kids to different palettes.
Today he cooked a big breakfast before church. Then when we got home, made some fresh guacamole for us to snack on.
He whipped up my hands-down favorite pillowy mashed potatoes. Honestly, I don’t need anything else. His mashed potatoes are like heaven to my taste buds. I need a separate bowl for double and triple servings every time.
After meals like this we used to have enough leftovers for Monday’s dinner. But these kids are growing and so are their taste buds. They eat like they’re grown sometimes lol. But with food this delicious, I can’t blame them.
So grateful to have a husband who loves to cook, is really good at it, and looks forward to stepping up to the plate.
